A luxury brand starts showing up in AI answers
A luxury brand was missing from AI answers about the best brands in its category and what its products cost. In three months, its mentions and its sentiment score went up.
The results
Where things stood
The client is a luxury brand that sells online. It competes with the biggest names in its category, brands with big budgets and a lot written about them online.
When people asked AI tools which brands in its category are best, or what its kind of product should cost, the brand didn't come up at all. It had no visibility in those answers.
Those are exactly the questions that shape a shortlist. Someone asking which brands are best wants names, and someone asking about price is working out what to expect. If an AI tool answers both questions without mentioning you, you aren't on the list.
The big names had a head start. AI tools build their answers from what the web says, and years of press, reviews and buying guides meant the large brands came up by default.
A smaller luxury brand can make excellent products and still be invisible in those answers if not enough credible sites write about it.
What we did
We ran an AI visibility campaign that covered two stages of the search. The first was the early questions people ask, like which brands to consider and what things cost. The second was the comparison questions, where people weigh one brand against another, including against the big competitors.
Covering the comparison stage meant knowing the competitors well. We looked at which rival brands AI tools named for each question and what the answers said about them. That showed where the client could fit into the conversation and what it needed to be known for.
Most of the work happened on the sites AI tools learn from. Our writers created articles for trusted sites that cover the category. When those sites talked about the best brands in the category, what things cost, or how brands compare, the client would be part of that writing.
What changed after three months
The sentiment score shows how positively AI tools describe the brand, out of 100. So the brand started showing up more often, and what the tools said about it got better at the same time.
What other luxury brands can take from this
In a market with famous names, AI tools lean on the brands the web writes about most. A smaller brand can still get into the answer. It needs credible writing about it in the places those tools read, focused on the questions people ask while they build their shortlist.
